Be a Poll Worker

At each polling place there are workers who represent both the Democratic and Republic parties. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find people who are willing to work at the polls on election days. The job requires you to work from 5 a.m. until the polls close and the ballots are tallied, roughly 7 p.m. Prior to the election, workers must attend a training session that typically lasts 2-3 hours. Poll workers are paid.

If you are interested in being a poll worker, contact your County Clerk's office or your party's headquarters. By assisting at the polls, you will be doing a service to your community and to the democratic process.
