The Legislative Action Network (LAN) is League of Women Voters of Indiana's presence at the Statehouse during legislative sessions. This group of volunteers is trained in issue advocacy, research and writing testimony.
Issue Advocates monitor bills, attend committee hearings and provide testimony to influence the outcome of legislation in accordance with League positions and concerns.
Legislative Advocates, one from each local League, communicate with local legislators about League actions, keep League members informed of activity in the Statehouse, and share important action alerts as needed.
Paulette Vandegriff, LAN Coordinator, provides weekly updates about her activities at the Statehouse and on important legislative actions. Her weekly updates are posted here.
